Odisha Chief Minister performed the groundbreaking of 17 industrial projects

Bhubaneswar: 17/2/21:Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today performed the groundbreaking of 17 industrial projects and inaugurated 5 projects.

The projects are ranging from metal and downstream, tourism, textile and apparel, cement, plastic, and food processing sectors. In a major boost to the Make in Odisha, these 22 industrial units with a combined investment of Rs 13,311.53 crore will generate employment opportunities for 10,677 persons in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said, “I am pleased that step by step, we are going high with impressive investments in the manufacturing sector, making the position of our State stronger as a Manufacturing Hub of India. Our consistent efforts to improve the investment ecosystem laced with our peaceful social climate are paying off to realize our desired goal.”

He further added that “I am glad that, at the 11th phase of groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony today, we are launching 22 industrial projects with an investment of over Rs 13, 000 crore that can create jobs for over 10, 600 persons. The Mo Sarkar and 5T Initiatives of my Government are solidly in place to effectively streamline the investment facilitation mechanism in the State. We must ensure that the Citizens and Businesses are provided services from the Government in a hassle-free and time-bound manner. Towards this objective, the launching of the mobile version of GO PLUS, the land bank information system will be particularly helpful for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the State.”.

Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, Minister of Energy, Industries, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of Odisha added, “Over the past few months, the state under the 5T charter and Mo Sarkar initiative, developed and enabled online registration and approval systems for over 30 Government to Business services. These systems will now ensure hassle-free and prompt services for industries right from the state Department level to the district and block levels. Further, the state Single Window System GO SWIFT has been further streamlined and now provides over 50 services covering 18 Departments through an end-to-end online mechanism with no need for any physical touchpoint between the applicant and the approving authority.”
