First time the CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik had visited Srimandir post the Covid pandemic

Puri:8/2/21:This is the first time that the CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik had visited Srimandir post the Covid pandemic.

“I prayed to the Lord for the peace and prosperity of people of Odisha,” said the CM as he interacted with media person post darshan of the Holy Trinity.

The CM added, “I thank the people of Puri who have sacrificed their lands for the development of Srimandir.” Their sacrifices will not go waste, nobody can stop the work of Lord Jagannath,” he reassured.

He landed at Talabania helipad in Puri in a special chopper and headed for the Jagannath Temple amid tight security.  The servitors welcomed Patnaik with customary ‘Khandua’.

Accompanied by 5T Secretary VK Pandian and other officials including Puri Collector Samarth Verma, Patnaik entered into the temple in the morning.

“This is the first time I am visiting the temple in the time of pandemic. I prayed for prosperity and peace of people of Odisha. I thank people who sacrificed for the temple and their sacrifices will not go in vain,” Patnaik told people outside Singhadwar of the temple.
