IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty has been appointed as the chairman of the Odisha Public Service Commission

Bhubaneswar: 1/2/21:Senior IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty has been appointed as the chairman of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) by Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal.

Mohanty is currently serving as the Director-General of Fire Services, Commandant General of Home Guards and Director of Civil Defence, Odisha.

He will hold the post of OPSC chairman till he attains the age of 62, said a notification of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of the Article 316 of Constitution of India, read with Regulation 3 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, the Governor of Odisha has been pleased to appoint Dr. Satyajit Mohanty, IPS, Director General, Fire Services, Commandant General, Home Guards & Director, Civil Defence, Odisha, Cuttack as Chairman, Odisha Public Service Commission until he attains the age of sixty-two years,” the notification read.
