Eminent writer Ramchandra Behera will be honoured with the prestigious Atibadi Jagannath Das Award-2020

Bhubaneswar:27/1/21: Eminent writer Ramchandra Behera will be honoured with the prestigious Atibadi Jagannath Das Award-2020 by the Odisha Sahitya Akademi.

The award was announced by the Odisha Sahitya Akademi in its executive council meeting held today. In the meeting which was chaired by the Akademi president Harihar Mishra, the decision was taken unanimously to honour Ramchandra Behera with the highest literary award of the Akademi.

The Akademi has also decided to felicitate 15 veteran litterateurs of the State. The conferment of the Atibadi Jagannath Das Award and felicitation of the litterateurs will be held at a special function.

Atibadi Jagannath Das Samman is awarded by Odisha Sahitya Akademi to Odia language litterateurs for their lifetime contribution to Odia literature. This is the most respectable honour to any litterateur by the organisation.
