National Handicraft Fair organised at Bhubaneswar is gaining record success in spite of prevailing corona

Bhubaneswar:25/1/21:The National Handicraft Fair organised at unit-III exhibition ground is gaining record success in spite of prevailing corona stricture.

The exhibition organised by Bayanika has credited business of Rs one crore within five days. Bayanika itself has pocketed its line share with fetching typical Odissi homie products worth  Rs 25 lakh.

Artisans from the country all over have stalled their handicrafts showcasing their typical produces.

While the Odisha handicraft pioneer Bayanika has displayed its wide range of artistic and finely woven products for the visitors. Its traditional creation of silky sarees and typical Odia apparel ‘Kotpad’have caught sight of the customers. The pavilion of Bayanika has fetched goods at the tune of 25 lakh in just five days.

At the same time, others as a whole could pocket sales at the domain of 75 lakhs which is recorded higher than the previous fair. The 9 GI tagged products of Odisha is another focus of attention for the visitors. A proportionate high sale is seen near these stalls.

Similarly, Weavers Seva Samiti is demonstrating mock weaving and printing techniques in a separate pavilion.

It catches a large crowd inside the fair. Apart from this, there is every arrangement of entertainment, refreshment, and usable amenities for the customers.

Friendly weather, a wide range of products and equitable propagation would promote the sales to make the fair a grand success, said a Boyanika official.
