Odisha Chief Minister announced waiver of fees for annual HSC Examination 2021

Bhubaneswar:12/1/21: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced waiver of fees for annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination 2021 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE). More than 6 lakh students appearing for the annual examination will be benefited from the fee waiver.

Each student has to pay Rs 420 as examination fees. Officials said that the State government will bear Rs 27 crore towards the examination fees.

“The 2010-21 academic session has been badly affected for Covid -19 pandemic. Schools were reopened from January 8 after a gap of nine months. The livelihood of several people has been affected for the pandemic. No students will be deprived of the exam due to the decision of fee waiver,” read a release from the Chief Minister’s Office.
