Bhubaneswar:7/1/21: Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi today launched ‘Annapurna’ to feed hungry people in Bhubaneswar.
Annapurna, the brainchild of Sarangi is partnered with So Am I Foundation Trust, Umesh Khandelwal Trust, Youth For Action Trust, and Art of Living.
This project has started functioning for the last one month as a trial run in Bhubaneswar but subsequently, it would cover the whole of Odisha. At present cooked food prepared in a hygienic way is provided to 200 poor hungry people of Bhubaneswar who remain empty stomach due to poverty and want of food.
A preliminary survey was conducted by the organization to identify the hungry people who are without food during lunchtime. These people were identified mostly near railway stations, bus stands, temples, and market places. The expenditure and arrangement of the feeding programme is managed by the partner organizations. Cooked food is provided to the people in the identified places. Sarangi is the Chief Advisor of Annapurna.
