Odisha Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of the MGNREGA Employment Scheme

Bhubaneswar:17/12/20:Odisha Chief Minister  Shri Naveen Patnaik reviewed the implementation of the MGNREGA Employment Scheme & Urban Employment Scheme in all districts of Odisha. Mentioning about the hardship faced by the poor due to the economic slowdown, CM directed all collectors to ensure no family suffers due to lack of employment.

 CM alerted the district collectors that strict action will be taken if there is a delay in disbursal of wages of the poor who earn a living through MGNREGA and State-sponsored schemes. The aim is to create 20 crore man-days by end of the current financial year
Emphasising that beneficiaries should get their wages on time, CM advised collectors to monitor wage issues by regularly calling the beneficiaries through the MoSarkar platform. CM expressed satisfaction that beneficiaries in some districts were getting paid on time. #OdishaCares
CM directed the completion of the construction of 1,000 Mission Shakti homes by the end of next March and ‘Parichay’ homes by the end of January. CM advised district collectors to fully spend the funds provided under the scheme by end of the financial year.
