Rs 30 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Kin Of Polling Staff In Case Of COVID Death

Bhubaneswar23/10/20: The Election Commission has declared that the government will provide an ex-gratia of Rs 30 lakh to the kin of the polling staff and CAPF jawans engaged in Tirtol and Balasore Sadar bypolls in Odisha if they die of COVID-19.

The same amount of ex-gratia will be provided to the family of the staffers and jawans if they die due to violence or explosion during the bypolls.

Worth mentioning, bypolls to Tirtol and Balasore Sadar assembly constituencies are scheduled to be held on November 3.
