Bhubaneswar with 229 new cases of Covid-19 taking the total virus infections to 27441.

Bhubaneswar:20/10/20: The State Capital of Odisha on Tuesday logged 229 new cases of Covid-19 taking the total virus infections in the city to 27441.

182 are local contact cases while 47 infections have been reported from quarantine in the last 24 hours. With 307 new recoveries, the total number of recovered cases in the capital rose to 24450. Active cases remain at 2830 while the death toll is 140. This is the 9th consecutive day when the city has maintained its new daily Covid caseload below 300.

On the other hand, Odisha’s Covid-19 cases stayed below the 2000-mark for the second consecutive day today. 1904 fresh cases in the last 24 hours have taken Odisha’s cumulative virus figures to 272250.

As per the State Health Department’s data released earlier in the day, death of 16 patients in the last 24 hours has taken the State’s total death count to 1168.
