Bhubaneswar:8/10/20: In a major boost to MakeInOdisha, CM Naveen Patnaik broken ground/inaugurated 12 industrial projects worth ₹8796.61 Cr which will generate jobs for 7090 people. They include 8 MSME and 4 large projects in healthcare, renewable energy, steel, IT, cement & food processing sectors.


CM inaugurated Ramco Cement’s plant in Jajpur and solar power plant at Bijepur in Bargarh. Groundbreaking was performed for Integrated Steel Plant expansion in Dhenkanal, Pelet Plant expansion in Sambalpur, bio-degradable table wares disposal manufacturing unit in Balangir.
Other projects for which groundbreaking was performed include a software development center, seafood processing unit, Ayurvedic products, and cosmetics manufacturing unit, coir mattress, and foam manufacturing unit in Khordha. Groundbreaking was also done for a lightweight cellular concrete bricks & slabs unit, PE unit, and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks unit in Cuttack. Odisha continues to be a prime destination for investment by attracting ₹24,185 Cr from 35 industries since COVID 19 lockdown

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “I am happy to note that our State continues its dominance as an attractive destination for the investor community despite the impact of COVID-19 across the world. The projects being taken up for ground-breaking and inauguration today are in broad-based sectors including cement manufacturing, renewable energy, seafood processing, IT, ITES, and others.”
