IITTM Bhubaneswar organizes Management Development Programme for Managers of OTDC

Bhubaneswar:7/10/20: The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management is organizing a one-of-its-kind Management Development Program for the managers of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) from 5th to 9th Oct 2020. The inaugural function of the program was held on 5th Oct 2020 in the institute premises. The welcome address was delivered by the Nodal Officer, IITTM, Bhubaneswar,  Dr. Md. S. Hussain.

Dr. Md. S. Hussain spoke about the relevance of the MDP at a time when the tourism industry is gearing up to emerge from the pandemic crisis. The Chief Guest, Smt. Shreemayee Mishra, Chairperson, OTDC elaborated the importance of managers as front-line leaders, instrumental in making a crucial difference to OTDC and tourism in general. The other speakers of the occasion, Dr.Alok Ranjan Mishra, Manager(Marketing, Personnel, and PIO), OTDC, and Shri P K Panda, Company Secretary, OTDC spoke about the role of managers in appropriately executing the new initiatives of OTDC. The Co-ordinator of the program, Associate Professor, Dr.Adyasha Das informed that the MDP will include a session on the contemporary concepts of managing in tourism and hospitality organizations.
