Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,32,713

Bhubaneswar:4/10/20:  As many as 3326 more persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,32,713, informed the Government.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 1945 has been reported from different quarantine centers while the remaining 1381 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relations (I & PR ) Department.

Khordha recorded the highest of 638 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (268) and Jajpur (148).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 33,559.  However, 1,98,194 patients have recovered in the state so far.

A total 45,570 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 34,40,835 tests have been conducted in the state.
