IITTM organizes one of its kind multi-campus virtual induction programme

BHUBANESWAR:22/9/20: Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is one of the premier institutes in the country offering education, training, research, and consultancy in sustainable management of tourism, travel and other allied sectors. The institute organized a uniquely designed virtual induction program for the newly admitted students today, i.e., on 21st Sept 2020 with faculty members and students joining in from all its centers – Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Noida, NIWS (Goa), and Nellore.


The event started with the good wishes of  Prof. (Dr) Alok Sharma, Director of the institute who congratulated the students who had been successful in getting admitted to this premier institute. The Nodal Officers of the respective centers presented an introduction to the academic programs, the organizational culture, and mission, research and training programmes, culture, sports, and other extra-curricular activities, placement facilities, etc


. With over five hundred students participating from across the length and breadth of the country, along with their guardians, this induction event has been one of its kind.


The program is spread over the next two days when center-specific activities and interaction will be organized between the erudite faculty and students. Despite the pandemic scenario, the faith reposed by the students in the resilience of the travel and tourism industry in enrolling for the course is noteworthy.
