A 6-member Central team assessed damages caused by recent floods in Bhadrak

Bhubaneswar16/9/20:: A 6-member Central team led by Joint Secretary (LWE) of Home Ministry, Praveen Vashista, is on a 2-day visit to Odisha for an on-the-spot assessment of the damage caused by the recent flood.

Reportedly, the team will divide into two groups and visit the flood-affected districts in the State. While one group will visit Bhadrak and Jajpur, the other will visit Kendrapada and Puri.

The Central team on a two-day visit to Odisha today assessed damages caused by recent floods in Bhadrak district. The team along with the District Collector and senior officials of the district administration visited several places in the district and interacted with locals. They asked locals and farmers about standing crop damages and losses to properties due to the floods. Later, the team had a detailed discussion with the District Collector and senior officials.
