Members of the Hindu Ekta Bahini filed a complain against upcoming web film ‘Thriller’

Nabarangpur:15/8/20: Members of the Hindu Ekta Bahini here filed a complaint with Nabarangpur Police in Odisha against upcoming web film ‘Thriller’ alleging that it has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus.

Convener Gourishankar Sahu along with other members of the HEB lodged a complaint against ‘Thriller’ director Ram Gopal Varma and actors Apsara Rani and Rock Kacchi seeking necessary action
Referring to the 2.36-minute trailer which was released on July 30, the HEB mentioned that the background music played is not ideal as it recites names of Hindu Gods – Rama, Krishna, Shiva, Sambho, and Hari Om which purportedly hurts the religious sentiments.

“The trailer not only promotes nudity and vulgarity, but the background music recites names of our Hindu Gods. Protesting such malicious act, we have filed a police complaint,” said the convener.

“This trailer singles out religious sentiments. Whoever watches this video will get disturbed as it intentionally outrages religious belief. We are deeply hurt which is why we have lodged an FIR at Nabarangpur police station,” stated Rashmikanta Nayak, member of the Hindu Ekta Bahini.
