Over 42,000 samples were tested in Odisha for COVID-19 which is highest in a single day

Bhubaneswar:14/8/20: Over 42,000 samples were tested for COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the highest so far in a single day. This was informed by the Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha Health Department Pradip Ku Mohapatra.

The Additional Chief Secretary stated that today’s was the highest number of samples tested in a single day in Odisha so far.

In order to encourage people to step forward in large numbers for Covid-19 testing, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in association with the Health and Family Welfare Department had recently started rapid antigen testing of local citizens at nine local urban health centers.
