126 new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Bhubaneswar:1/8/20: As many as 126 new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area in the last 24 hours.

As per BMC, of the 126 new COVID-19 positive cases, 77 are Quarantine Cases and 49 are Local Contact Cases. Besides, 133 persons have also recovered from the infection of Novel Coronavirus.

Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts & nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised & will be under active surveillance, the BMC said. The civic body also informed that all the new positive cases have been shifted to COVID Hospital.

So far a total of 2861 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Bhubaneswar, out of which, 1276 are active cases while 1566 persons have recovered and 17 have succumbed to the deadly infection of COVID-19.
