BMC today declared a section in the in Harinagar Basti region as containment zone

Bhubaneswar:24/7/20: After the detection of several positive cases of COVID-19 in Harinagar Basti under BJB Nagar in the capital city, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today declared a section in the region as containment zone.

“Several positive cases have been detected in Harinagar Basti, Ward No 56, BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar and to contain further spread of COVID-19 further, it is necessary to make the affected area as a containment zone and to restrict public from entering into and going out of the containment zone,” read an order from the BMC.

In view of this, the boundary indicated below of Harinagar Basti has been declared as containment zone.

i. From Baragada Canal to Gayatri Mandir
ii. From Gayatri Mandir to Scholar Boys Hostel
iii. From Scholar Boys Hostel to Hari Nagar Basti Entrance
iv. From Harinagar Basti Entrance to Baragada Canal

A. No public shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone shall not move out.
B. All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home. All the shopping establishment of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately.
C. All the Govt and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone is hereby closed forthwith.
D. BMC will ensure supply of essentials/Medicines in the containment zones. The inhabitants can call the Helpline No 1929 for any requirements/complaints.
