Odia Samaj, New Delhi to organise a Webinar on “Odia Bhasha O Sahitya: Kichhi Drusti, Kichhi Chinta”

New Delhi:21/7/20: Odia Samaj, New Delhi, a leading not-for-profit, socio-cultural organisation, and an effective & neutral think tank is going to organise an online dialogue on Odia language and Literature i.e. “Odia Bhasha O Sahitya: Kichhi Drusti, Kichhi Chinta” on 25th July 2020  (Saturday) at 5 PM. After successfully conducting a webinar on Financial packages and opportunities for MSME in Odisha on June 27th, Odia Samaj, New Delhi has come up with an idea to celebrate our own language and literature i.e. Odia language.

 Covid-19 pandemic has affected almost everyone’s life and people have remained locked up in their houses, quarantined and socially distanced from each other. At this time, in order to break the monotony of life, Odia Samaj, New Delhi is taking the initiative to hold an engaging session with intellectual and prolific minds on a virtual platform i.e. through a webinar. It is an endeavour to promote and give insightful knowledge about Odia language and literature to a wider world audience and strengthen the bond with the rich cultural ethos of Odisha.

 The webinar will be addressed by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan,  Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel, Govt. of India, who will be the Chief Guest of the session and Shri Sidhartha Pradhan, IRS (Retd.) President, Odia Samaj. Icons from the world of Odia literature Padmashree Dr. Pratibha Ray, Academician and Writer; Prof. Santanu Kumar Acharya, Writer; Prof. Manindra Kumar Meher, Writer & Professor Odia Department, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore are slated to grace the webinar as the Speakers. Smt. Paramita Satpathy, Writer & Principal Commissioner of Income Tax shall be the moderator of the webinar.

He has also carved out a niche for himself as a scribe of eminence after joining the profession in 1988. He is also an independent media production professional. He brings loads of experience to Advanced Media, Ashok Palit as a cineaste has been active in film criticism for over three decades. As a film society activist, he soared to eminence for his profound commitment to the art film appreciation and aesthetics of cinema. A film aesthete with an immense fond of critical sensibilities, he wrote about growth and development of odia cinema in New Indian Express, The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, The Asian Age and Screen. He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
