Action Against Private Hospitals For Denying Admission To Patients

Bhubaneswar:18/7/20: Odisha Government today warned private hospitals across the state of strong action if they are found denying admission to patients coming from COVID-19 hotspot districts.

In a tweet, the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy today said there are instances of some private hospitals being reluctant to admit patients from hotspot districts. Terming such act as unethical and illegal, Tripathy said strict action will be taken against the wrongdoers.

The Chief Secretary further advised people to dial 100 to inform authorities concerned about such practices by private hospitals.

“Many queries on who to inform. Please inform by dialing toll-free number 100. They have been directed accordingly,” he tweeted.
