Union Petroleum Minister made an aerial survey and visited the Baghjan blowout site

Assam, June 14: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today made an aerial survey and visited the Baghjan blowout site in Assam to review the situation on the ground.

After visiting the blowout site, Pradhan tweeted, “Visited the Baghjan blowout site to review the situation on the ground. I was accompanied by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Chandra Mohan Patowary during the visit. We also took stock of the on-going operation to control the fire and cap the well.”

He also met representatives of AASU, AJYCP & several other indigenous organisations in Tinsukia regarding relief and rehabilitation of the affected people.

During his visit, the Union Minister also met the affected families at a relief camp set up by Oil India and assured them all support to them
