Mahanadi Coalfields Limited observed the World Environment Day

Burla::6/6/20: Corporate Environment & Forest Department of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited observed the World Environment Day (WED)-2020 on 5th June 2020. On the eve of this august occasion, flag hoisting was done in front of corporate office, MCL, Jagruti Vihar, Burla at 10.30 AM. Hon’ble CMD, MCL Sri B.N.Shukla inaugurated the WED-2020 followed by CIL corporate song and oath-taking ceremony in presence of Sri O.P.Singh, Director(T/Op), Sri K.R.Vasudevan, D(F), Sri K.Rao, D(P), and HOD/GMs, Officers and staff of MCL HQ. Sri Neeraj Kalla, GM (Environment & Forest) welcomed CMD, FDs by fruit-bearing plant as a symbol of energy and environment and delivered his welcome speech at the beginning of the ceremony.

Thereafter, CMD, MCL addressed the gathering with his valuable information on the environment and biodiversity-time for nature. Sri D.K.Khanda, Sr. Manager(Mining) read out the message of Sri Pramod Agrawal, IAS, Chairman, CIL, followed by distribution of face masks and sanitizers to the employees to fight against COVID-19. Sri Kalla, GM (Env.&Forest) facilitated Sri B.N.Shukla, CMD, MCL to feed the birds in the said premises. The entire function was well managed by Miss Lopamudra Patnaik, Asst. Manager(Geology) with the full support of all the executives and staff of the Environment and Forest Department. Sri A.P.Singh, Chief Manager(Mining) extended vote of thanks to one and all present over there in the occasion at the end.
