Covid-19 Tally In Odisha Nears 2500-Mark

Bhubaneswar:4/6/20: As many as 90 persons were tested positive with novel-Coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the State taking the cumulative Covid-19 tally in Odisha to 2,478 on Thursday, informed State Health and Family Welfare Department.

The State has now a total of 1053 active cases, 1416 recoveries and seven deaths. Of the new 90 COVID-19 cases in Odisha today, Khurda has reported the maximum 25 cases while Ganjam reported 22 cases followed by Dhenkanal 10, Bhadrak 9 and Nayagarh 7 cases. Similarly, five each cases were detected in Sundergarh and Cuttack district, two from Puri and one each case from Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Balasore and Kalahandi districts, added the State Health and Family Welfare Department.

Meanwhile, a total of 2933RT-PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking the cumulative tests to 1, 65,824 in the State.

After the detection of a Coronavirus case in Rayagada yesterday, the SARS-nCoV infection has now touched all the districts of the State. Earlier on Wednesday, a total of 91 persons recovered from COVID-19 in Odisha.
