Bhubaneswar:31/5/20: Schools will not open on June 17 as announced earlier following lockdown 5.0 guidelines, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Das on Sunday.
The new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for lockdown 5.0 restricts opening of schools and other educational institutions in June, the minister said.
A decision on re-opening of educational institutions will be taken in July following the MHA guidelines.
The Odisha government had earlier announced that all educational institutions in the state will remain closed till June 17 in view of the Covid-19 outbreak.
