Mahasweta’s new music video on Corona featuring Padmashree Hema Malini

Bhubaneswar:4/5/20: Dream Girl Hema Malini has danced in an inspirational music video against coronavirus made by yesteryear’s star actress of Odia film industry Mahasweta Ray, The veteran Odia actress has made a short music video ‘Jai Jai Odisha’ featuring frontline Odia actors and Odishi dancers across the country.featuring superstars of the  Odissi dance including the actor & dancer, Hema Malini, Sujata Mohapatra, Guru Ratikant Mohapatra and his Srjan Team and Meera Das, plus top Odia film personalities like Uttam Mohanty, Mihir Das, Aparajita, Buddhaditya Mohanty and Mahasweta Ray.

This song, composed by star music director Premanand, as part of the nationwide campaign by celebrities against the spread of the deadly virus Covid-19. Popular playback singers Sabishesh, Deeptirekha and Biswajit have lent their voices to the song penned by Basant Raj. The video has been edited by Bijay and is ready to be launched on social media platforms.

Mahasweta, who is all set to launch her own YouTube channel ‘Mahasweta Ray Official’ with this new video says she wanted to have top Odissi dancers present the same song ‘Puni Hasiba Odisha’. She had requested to celebrated Odissi dancer Sujata Mohapatra to get Hema Malini to perform in the new version. ” I was thrilled when Hema Ji readily agreed to be a part of the new version of the song. I am deeply grateful to Hema Ji and Sujata Mohapatra as well as music director Premanand for their immense help in preparing the music video.
