COVID-19 cases in country climb to 26,496, Death toll rises to 824

Newdelhi:26/4/20: The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has climbed to 26 thousand 4 hundred and 96 while the death toll rose to 824. Health Ministry data said, the number of active COVID-19 cases stood at19 thousand 868. As many as five thousand eight hundred and three people have been cured or discharged and one had migrated.

Health Ministry data said Maharashtra has the highest number of 7628 cases followed by Gujarat 3071 and  Delhi with 2625cases. The highest number of 323 people have lost lives in Maharashtra. Gujarat has reported 133 deaths, Madhya Pradesh 99 and Delhi 54 deaths.
