COVID-19 testing has commenced at Ispat General Hospital and Institute of Life Sciences

Bhubaneswar:14/4/20: COVID-19 testing has commenced today at Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela and Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, officials said.

The number of testing centres for the deadly virus has increased to six with the addition of these two new centres. The other centres are RMRC, Bhubaneswar; AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College in Cuttack and MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.

Officials said that test for COVID-19 will also soon begin at VIMSAR in Burla. Earlier modern equipment COBAS has been installed in Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) increasing the testing capacity to 1000 samples per day.
