Odisha seeks 5lakh PPEs and Vitamin-C

Bhubaneswar:10/4/20:: Odisha health minister Naba Kishore Das sought 5 lakh Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adequate Vitamin-C tablets for mass administration to boost immunity against COVID-19 during video conferencing with Union health minister, Harsh Vardhan this afternoon.

Das also demanded for waiver of customs duty and GST from the medical tools such as masks, sanitizers, ventilators, testing kits and PPEs for fighting with COVID-19. 5. He also demanded to establish testing at each District Headquarters Hospitals for quick diagnosis of the disease along with more ICUs at District Headquarters Hospitals.

Das also demanded the Central Government to bring out a circular for taking precautionary measures for all the scheduled areas and areas dominated by Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes for their safety and security.
