DGP Abhay visited Balangir district to review the COVID-19 lockdown enforcement.

Balanagir:10/4/20: Director General of Police Abhay today visited Balangir district to review the COVID-19 lockdown enforcement.

He took a detailed review of the law and order arrangements made in the event of COVID-19. He interacted with SP Balangir to understand the issues in the field. He emphasized upon the need for police officials to be polite but firm during lockdown enforcement.

He instructed the SP to check black marketing and ensure free and unhindered movement of vehicles in the district carrying essential commodities and goods. He stressed that police deployment should be carried out in such a manner that field staff gets at least one day off in a week.

Abhay also visited the nearest police station and barracks and reviewed the sanitation aspect and social distancing protocol. He gave clear instructions to maintain social distance and healthy sanitation practices. He also visited District Control Room and gave valuable instructions for prompt disposal of public grievance.
