Mumbai:6/4/20: Equity benchmark Sensex was down 400 points in early trade today, owing to the economic uncertainty due to COVID-19 pandemic. After hitting a low of 27,800.07, the BSE barometer was trading 356.50 points lower at 27,902.95. Similarly, the NSE Nifty fell 105.35 points to 8,148.45.
Meanwhile, the Indian rupee depreciated 47 paise to 76.07 against the US Dollar in morning trade. Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, fell 3.44 percent to 28.91 US Dollars per barrel.
