Odisha Chief Minister appealed the people of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak to follow the shutdown

Bhubaneswar: 3/4/20: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday appealed the people of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak to follow the shutdown and stay at homes.

He also urged the people to support the govt’s move to identify the contacts of the corona patients.

The state government will shut down Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak Town completely for 48 hours from 8 pm today (Friday) to prevent community transmission of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Accordingly, the State Revenue & Disaster Management Department has issued an advisory to be followed during this 48-hour shutdown.

In the interest of health of general public, aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing, and isolation as well as containment is required in the BMC area, Cuttack Municipal Corporation area and Bhadrak Municipality area after detection of six COVID-19 positive cases.
