Metro trains all over the country have been shut down till 31st March

Newdelhi:22/3/20:Metro trains all over the country have been shut down till 31st of this month. The decision was taken in view of current global pandemic of the coronavirus, for containing its further spread through inter-personal proximity. Secretary Housing, DS Mishra has informed all MDs of Operational Metro Companies that this is being done in continuation of the closing down of metro services on Janta Curfew today. He added that this will help in breaking the chain of further infection of COVID 19.

All MDs have been urged to inform the public through media so that no one faces inconvenience. All Chief Secretaries have also been sensitised through a video conference.
