Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has sanctioned Rs 225 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for containment of COVID-19 in the state.
The State Executive Committee held a special meeting at 6.15 PM today (16.3.20) chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy and sanctioned the amount in favour of the Health & Family Welfare Department.According to reports, the fund will be utilised for measures for quarantine, sample collection, screening, including provision for temporary accommodation, food, medical care, etc. for the people sheltered in quarantine camps, cluster containment operations, setting up of additional testing labs and procurement of essential equipment, personal protective gears, etc
