Dr.Md Sabir Hussain is the new Nodal Officer of IITTM Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:11/3/20:Dr.Md Sabir Hussain has taken over the charge of Nodal Officer IITTM Bhubaneswar w.e.f. February 2020. An academician of repute with 25 years of experience in the field of tourism and travel, he also has expertise in research and consultancy. He is a reputed trainer for the government of India and / state government training programme. Under his leadership, the Institute has achieved 100% placement record with students placed in reputed travel tourism organisations all over the country. With a vision to popularize tourism education in Odisha, he has aggressive plans for admission for Post Graduate (MBA) and Under Graduate (BBA) programmes in tourism and travel offered by the Institute. He has launched State Level Tourist Guide Training and Training programme for Community Members of Managing Nature Tourism / Eco Tourism

He is the member of editorial boards of reputed journals and several research papers to his credit. Under his leadership, the Institute is planning to take forward the Swachh Bharat and SwachhParyatan Scheme, Ek Bharat and Shreshtha Bharat Scheme of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. In line with the state governments Mo Sarkar scheme, especially after the induction of Tourism, Wildlife and Environment under Mo Sarkar scheme. IITTM is planning in a big way to be associated with state government in the field of human resource development and tourist circuit management and development. IITTM is also planning to start an Advance Linguistic Facilitator Training programme at Camp IITTM, Bodh Gaya from April 2020.


About Ashok Palit

Ashok Palit has completed his graduation from Upendranath College Soro, Balasore and post graduation from Utkal University in Odia Language and literture.. He has also carved out a niche for himself as a scribe of eminence after joining the profession in 1988. He is also an independent media production professional.
