Bhubaneswar:29/2/20: Five more departments– Forest & Environment, Information & Public Relations, Tourism, Sports & Youth Services and Skill Development & Technical Education, of Naveen Patnaik-led government have been included under the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative that aims to serve people with dignity.
“The common man must feel empowered. The common man must feel that he is the real master. He must feel he is living in a truly democratic system,” said CM Patnaik said this today at a function for the inclusion of five more departments in the Mo Sarkar initiative at Loka Seva Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “I am delighted that as many as five government departments such as Forest and Environment, Information and Public Relations, Tourism, Sports and Youth Services, Skill Development and Technical Education are entering into the ambit of Mo Sarkar today. I congratulate all these departments for their keenness to shift gears for this transformative initiative.
As many as 12 departments have already embraced Mo Sakar.
“I myself have made several phone calls and received good feedback. We have taken tough action, wherever there have been lapses and appreciated wherever the feedback has been good. The success of Mo Sarkar solely depends on the effectiveness of the feedback mechanism. I wish all the departments to keep their feedback mechanism in good shape,” patnaik said.
Again coming to the philosophy of Mo Sarkar, I wish the training and orientation programme to be properly educative. When you are chasing an attitudinal issue, it’s not easy. The IEC- Information, Education and Communication must be powerful enough to develop positive impact on the outlook.
It’s my earnest desire to see the transformative initiatives empower the people of my state. The common-man must feel that he is the real master. He must feel he is living in a truly democratic system
