Several passengers had a narrow escape from death after the ferry boat they were onboard capsized in Chilika

Balugaon:2/2/20: Several passengers had a narrow escape from death after the ferry boat they were onboard capsized in Chilika lagoon on Sunday.

According to sources, the mishap occurred on Sunday evening when the boat was returning from Kalijai Temple with over 15 tourists, who had visited Kalijai temple for picknicking lost balance and capsized.

Though all the passengers were rescued by another boat that was behind them, six of them sustained critical injuries.

All the injured persons have been admitted to a hospital in Balugaon, sources said.
