Odia music composer Purna Khuntia breathed his last at a private hospital in Cuttack

Cuttack:30/12/19: Veteran music director Purna Khuntia breathed his last at a private hospital in Cuttack early on Monday morning. He was 72.

He is survived by wife Adityaprabha Prasad, two daughters, and a son.

According to sources, Khuntia’s sugar level dropped last night following which his family members rushed him to a private hospital in Cuttack. However, doctors there declared him brought dead.

Purna Khuntia was born on December 27, 1947, at Jachak lane in Buxi Bazar of Cuttack. Khuntia has composed a number of songs for many odia movies and albums.

He was best known for his music in movies like Tike Hasa Tike Luha and Mahua.
