Pyari Mohan Mohapatra’s daughter Sikta Pati has joined the BJD

Bhubaneswar: 23/11/19:Former Rajya Sabha Member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra’s daughter Sikta Pati has joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Pati called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the latter’s official residence here on Saturday evening.

Naveen welcomed Sikta into the BJD and said that the party will be strengthened with her induction. Sikta is an MA in Economics and also holds an MBA degree. After Mohapatra’s demise, she joined the Odisha Jana Morcha and became its Secretary-General.

Sikta is active as a social worker. After officially joining the party in the presence of the Chief Minister, Sikta said that she would dedicate herself to the service of the poor and underprivileged.
