Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been named for the prestigious Dada Sahab Phalke award

Mumbai:24/9/19:Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been named for the prestigious Dada Sahab Phalke award for his outstanding contribution to the film industry.
In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javadekar said the legend who entertained and inspired for two generations has been unanimously selected for the award.

The Minister said the entire country and international community is happy over his selection. Mr. Javadekar also congratulated him.
The award is conferred by the Government for outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. It consists of a Swarn Kamal and a cash prize of ten lakh rupees.
