Major bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Odisha government

Bhubaneswar:17/8/19: Senior IAS officer Gagan Kumar Dhal has been appointed as the chairman of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) in a major bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Odisha government on Saturday.

According to a notification issued by the general administration and public grievance department, the post of Chairman, Odisha Forest Development Corporation, is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Chief Secretary.

Similarly, Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, a 1986 batch IAS, has been appointed as Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary to Government Planning & Convergence Department.

He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Working Chairperson, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri, in addition to his own duties.

Sudershan Pal Thakur, Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration Bhubaneswar is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chief Administrator, KBK, Koraput in addition to his own duties.

Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, School & Mass Education Department has been appointed as Agriculture Production Commissioner, Odisha.

He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, School & Mass Education Department in addition to his own duties.

Mona Sharma, a 1969 batch IAS and Principal Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Forest & Environment Department in addition to her own duties.

Sanjiv Chopra, Principal Secretary to Government, Industries Department with additional charge of Chairman, OMC Ltd. is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department in addition to his own duties.

Manoj Kumar Mishra, IRTS, CRC & Special Secretary to Government, Commerce & Transport Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Secretary (I/c), Electronics & Information Technology Department addition to his own duties.

Rudra Narayan Palai, ITS, Special Secretary to Government, Electronics and Information Technology Department has been appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
