Information Pertaining to Basic Short Term Course on Rubber Compounding ( Exclusive)

Bhubaneswar:10/8/19:It is hearttening to note that the short term course on Basics of Rubber Compounding took a kick start on 8th August, 2019 at the IIT Kharagpur Extension Center, Samantapuri Campus , Jaydev Bihar, Bhubaneswar.
This is the first short term course on Rubber Technology, ever organised by the SMMME IIT Bhubaneswar, Dr Sawar Dhanania , the Chairman, Rubber Board was the Chief Guest on the occasion in the inaugural session of the course commenced at 9.30 AM.
Dr Dhanania, stressed on the need of Rubber Technology Education and Research in the state of Odisha which has tremenous potential in the growth of Rubber Plantation  The state has already a planatation area of more than 10,000 hectres.in Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Gajapti districts. It can further be spread to other areas , by collaborative efforts of Rubber Board and the Government of Odisha..
Professor Sujit Roy the Dean(R&D) and the Acting Director of IIT Bhubaneswar was present in the function as the Guest of Honour and Professor Swarup Mohapatra, the Dean, Continuing Education presided over the function.
Professor Golok Bihari Nando the co-ordinator of the course  and a Professorial Fellow of the Institute stated the objectives of the course to create an awareness among the stake holders in the country that Rubber Technology education and skill development can be pursued in the state particularly in the  IIT Bhubaneswar  and to bring IIT Bhubaneswar into the Rubber Map of the country.

He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
