Odisha government extended the summer vacation of schools by one week.

Bhubaneswar :18/6/19: With no letup in heat wave condition, Odisha government today extended the summer vacation of schools by one week.

The rising mercury graph is being experienced across the state. So the summer vacation has been extended further to provide relief to children.

The schools will now reopen on June 26 instead of June 19. The mercury continues to hover round 40 degree Celsius across the state particularly in western districts. The sultry and humid weather will last at least for next 48 hours, according to Regional Meteorological Center, Bhubaneswar.
