Bhubaneswar: 12/6/19:IIT Bhubaneswar heartily wishes success to all the students, in the results of the prestigious JEE (Advanced) 2019 examination, to be declared on 14th June 2019.

IIT Bhubaneswar announces an Open Day on 18th  June 2019 at its permanent campus at Argul, Jatni, and invites the JEE Advanced 2019 rank holders, and also prospective students preparing for JEE examination in 2020 for a live counselling session. The counselling session will commence from 09:30 AM with few general talks on IIT education and admission process with an introduction to programs of study and campus life at IIT Bhubaneswar. This will be followed by a question and answer session, designed specifically to help the students in making a correct and informed choice in their career. Special counselling is planned for prospective female candidates by the helpdesk team of the Institute to clarify their queries, particularly on seat allocation through female supernumerary quota.

IIT Bhubaneswar has been organising JEE Open house and a helpdesk, particularly for female students since 2017, and was one of the first IITs to do so. The student community at large, has immensely benefitted from the open house and their queries are successfully addressed through their participation, in person, through telephones and  over  skype.  Generally, students not  only  from  Odisha,  and neighbouring states like West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, but from all over India, such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamilnadu etc., participate in person for clarifications. This year too, we are hoping the same. The motto is to facilitate the students with requisite information which will help to make the right career choices and give them a hands on experience of the IIT system, said Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar.

Established  in  2008,  the  Institute  operates  fully  from  its  permanent  campus sprawling over 941 acres of land, situated in the foot of Barunei hills.   IIT Bhubaneswar  has  already  made  its  mark  in  innovative  research  and  holistic education, with state-of-the art technological facilities, innovative academic  curriculum  and  global  class  faculty,  all  geared  to  impart  quality  education  to students.Students interested in attending the session can go to web-portal mentioned below and get their names registered.
