CHSE Announced the results of plus two science examinations

Bhubaneswar:3/6/19: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) today announced the results of plus two science examinations.

The results were announced at Geet Govind auditorium in Jayadev Bhawan in presence of School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash and secretary and senior CHSE officials.

The results registered 72.33% pass rate.

 This year, the girls outperformed boys with a 75.02 pass percentage while the pass rate of boys is 70.4%. Balasore district has recorded highest of 86.56% pass rate while Gajapati with a pass rate of 36.20% is lowest in pass per cent.

The colleges having nil results in +2 Science examinations will face action, said Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash today.

“We are looking into the matter. We are inspecting the reason behind the poor results. Action will be taken against the college authorities. We are serious about that” Dash said while reacting to media after announcing the results.

 As many as nine colleges witnessed zero results while 29 colleges have registered 100% results in the +2 science examination.

 As many as 97,750 students had appeared the examination in Science stream out of which 70,716 have cleared the test. As many as 40.058 boys have passed the exam while number of girls passed the test is 30,648.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated all the students who have passed the annual Plus II Science exams, results of which were declared earlier today.

Patnaik took to micro blogging site Twitter to congratulate the successful students.
