High-level meeting of the BJD party legislature has been convened on Sunday

Bhubaneswar:25/5/19: While BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik is set to form the government for a fifth consecutive term, a high-level meeting of the party legislature party has been convened on Sunday.

This was informed by Biju Janata Dal spokesperson Sasmit Patra.

According to sources, the newly elected legislators will formally meet Patnaik at Naveen Nivas tomorrow morning. The high-level meeting is scheduled to be held tomorrow afternoon at the BJD office in Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, the exact date of the swearing-in of the new legislatures and Naveen Patnaik is yet to be confirmed.

The final Election Commission (EC) tally shows that the BJD won 112 of the 146 Assembly seats for which elections were held.

Patnaik, who will take oath as Chief Minister for the fifth consecutive term, won from two Assembly segments — Hinjili under the Aska Lok Sabha seat and Bijepur under the Bargarh Lok Sabha segment.
