Central Team To Visit Cyclone Fani-Hit Odisha

Bhubaneswar:10/5/19: Inter-ministerial team Home Affairs department will visit the Cyclone Fani-hit areas of Odisha from May 12-15 for rapid assessment of the situation.

According to a release by the Home ministry, the central team led by Additional Secretary of the Home Affairs Department, Vivek Bhardwaj will visit the cyclone-affected areas of Odisha between May 12 and May 15.

The direction was given by Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha on Odisha’s request for rapid assessment of the damage caused by the cyclone, officials said on Thursday.

It may be mentioned here that Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday urged the Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma to send a team of experts to the state for assessing damage caused to Puri Srimandir and Konark Sun Temple due to cyclone FANI.
