BJP is only interested in the votes of the people of Odisha not in their well being:Naveen Patnaik

Jagatsinghpur:268/4/19: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today lambasted that the BJP is only interested in the votes of the people of Odisha not in their well being.

Addressing an election rally at Ersama-Balikuda assembly constituency, Patnaik said, “Are only the votes of people of Odisha valuable for BJP, not their well being? The Prime Minister has visited Odisha 10 times in a month now. However, the PM didn’t visit even once in the last five years during the misery of Odisha people.”

Naveen recollected, “Visit to Ersama reminds me of the 1999 Super Cyclone which ravaged Odisha. Life and property were severally damaged. The Super Cyclone was the saddest moment of my life. I had pledged then that not even a single life should be lost and I will try my level best.”

“Today, Odisha has achieved remarkable success in disaster management in the entire country. The United Nations has also endorsed us for the disaster management,” Naveen cited.

The BJD president also put forth some data for public consideration. He said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister had visited Andhra for Hudhud on October 14, 2014, visited Bihar for flood on August 26, 2017, visited Gujarat on July 25, 2017, for flood, visited Assam on August 1, 2017, and also visited Kerala on August 18, 2018, for the flood.”

“My dear people of Odisha encountered cyclones and floods, in 2014 Hudhud, in 2015 acute drought, in 2017 dreadful flood and in 2018 encountered both Titli and flood,” the Odisha Chief Minister questioned, “Did the Prime Minister visit Odisha?”

Naveen also expressed confidence that after the third phase election, the people have already decided to have BJD Government in Odisha.

“4.5 people of Odisha are my family. I’ll keep on serving you till my last breath. Bless me and cast your vote for the conch symbol,” the Chief Minister appealed the voters.

Besides campaigning in Ersama-Balikuda assembly segment, Naveen Patnaik later campaigned in Mohakalpada assembly constituency under Kendrapada parliamentary constituency.

Later on, he held roadshow from Hariabanka, Mohakalpada via Marsaghai canal bridge, Marsaghai, via Haldigada, Patkura, Garadpur, Kalabuda, Korua, Mahala, Chandolo, Derabish, Chhata and Jantilo.
