Naveen Patnaik-led BJD has been scared of the Modi wave:Narendra Modi

Kendrapara:23/4/19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday came down heavily on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for perpetrating the culture of poll violence by saying Odisha is going the West Bengal way.

Addressing a poll rally at Baruo coming under Kendrapara parliamentary constituency, Modi while naming him trained guns at Patnaik said “Patnain-led BJD has turned baffled getting the whiff of poll defeat. BJP workers are said being attacked. BJD’s ouster and BJP coming to government are certain in Odisha”.

For the saffron party, Kendrapara Parliamentary constituency, which is going to polls on April 29, is a key seat with BJP National Vice President and spokesperson Baijayant Panda crossing swords with BJD’s Anubhav Mohanty and Congress’s Dharanidhar Nayak.

Taking swipe at Odisha’s four-time chief minister, he said “since past 10 to 12 days, BJD is resorting to violence like that is occurring in Bengal. Naveen’s handpicked officers have closed their eyes. I want to tell him ‘Naveen Babu, your term is over. We are going (out of power) out. Odisha voters have made up their minds to throw you out of power”.

Taking further dig at the suremo of the regional party, he said “I had maintained dignity in first two phases of elections. I had refrained from criticizing Naveen Patnaik. He has served Odisha for so many years; his farewell (from government) should be fitting. He should not bid goodbye with humiliation. I was silent for his dignity. I want to tell him ‘Naveen Babu, your term is over. We are going (out of power). Your exit (poll defeat) is certain. Your handpicked officers are not going save you (from poll defeat).

Odisha people bid farewell to guests with folded hands. But now they are not going to bid adieu to you (Naveen) with anger. Your survival is difficult. I want to congratulate the conscious voters of Odisha as they have gauged the situation. Now there will be Double engine at Delhi and Bhubaneswar, he said predicting the fall of Patnaik government in the State.

No matte whatever power it (BJD) exerts, it can not stop lotus-embalmed double engine governments in the centre and in Odisha.
