Minority communities are well protected under Prime Minister Narendra Modi government

Salipur:20/4/19: Union Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday said minority communities are well protected under Prime Minister Narendra Modi government than the Congress-led central governments in the past years.

Addressing a poll rally at Salipur under Kendrapara parliamentary constituency, Naqvi said “When BJP and Narendra Modi came to power in 2014; many people (from the opposition ranks) opposed by saying that minority community will be targeted. It relation with Islamic countries will deteriorate. But they have been proved wrong”.

The nation has marched on the path of development path without any discrimination towards any community, caste or creed; he said adding that the 2019 election is for a change in Odisha- wave for change triggered by Narendra Modi’s good governance.

For the Modi government, 130 crore Indians are all equals, free from governmental discrimination.

Narendra Modi stands for Vikash (development) and Viswah (trust). The interest of Muslims is best protected. No communal riot has taken place. Innocent people were being killed by sectarian and communal disturbances. All sections of people are being protected by Modi government, which stands for peace, harmony and development.

Peace and development. UP and Bihar, Maharshtra people are happy. All sections of people are being protected, he said.

The Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have recognized Modi as a statesman and have conferred civilian awards, he said.

The centre is not following appeasement policy which the other parties are resorting to. India under Modi government has sent highest number of Haj pilgrims (2 kakh) to Mecca this year. Pakistan despite being a Muslim majority country managed to send 1.80 lakh for Haj pilgrimage. The centre received 700 haj pilgrimage applications from Odisha and all were sanctioned by the centre. This has never been the case in the past, he said.

If BJP govt stays in power in Delhi and comes to power Bhubaneswar, the minorities’ development will be further expedited; he said citing the instances of BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra and others.
